Subproject Manager (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Main interface and responsible person for the project
• Defining the project goals for the payload in close cooperation with the customer, the overall project manager and the higher-level company management
• Ensuring the correct definition of the technical basis for the items to be developed, produced and delivered
• Define, implement and adhere to the project schedule and budget allocation for the payload setup
• Responsibility for accurate and timely resource planning for the internal payload project team
• Organizing a team structure, coordinating all tasks and processes, and conducting regular project meetings, both with the main contractor and internally
• Ensure good collaboration with other internal departments and teams through regular communication and the development and agreement of work orders
• Monitoring and control of technical progress, schedule, costs and quality compared to the project
• Regular reporting on the project status with all relevant stakeholders
• Control, evaluate, and approve changes that significantly impact scope, budget or schedule

Your Qualifications

• Studies in a relevant engineering discipline (degree in aerospace technology or comparable qualification)
• Technical and methodological competence in project management methods and several years of relevant practical experience as a project manager (m/f/d) or subcontractor manager (m/f/d) of complex subcontracts
• Proven skills in professional and ideally also disciplinary team leadership
• Very good understanding of the relevant standards and OHB processes
• Very good economic understanding and high ability to balance and prioritize between quality, costs and schedule
• Very good communication skills, negotiation skills, decision-making skills and conflict resolution skills
• Strong skills in motivation, delegation, knowledge transfer and network building
• Very good analytical skills and presentation skills
• High willingness to travel
