Chair of Material Modelling in Forming Technology
The Component Safety Research Group at the Institute of Forming Technology (IBF) investigates material performance and safety across several engineering applications. Using a combination of experiments and numerical analyses, the group develops numerical models to characterize the material behavior integrating the latest advances in steel production into structural applications. We are seeking a highly motivated Student Assistant to join our team in the development of material models using finite element methods (FEM).

The successful candidate will be employed as a student assistant. The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of one year. Further employment is intended. This is a part-time contract position with standard weekly hours of 8 hours. The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants, corresponding to a pay grade of 13,25 € per hour.
