Our Group Treasury consists of the following teams: Investor Relations, Captive Finance, and Structured Finance.
AUTO1 Group is a leader in using ABS financing technology. In addition to our unique existing ABS programme for our used car inventory, we are building a large captive finance business which we refinance in the ABS market including our debut public market transaction FinanceHero 20241. As we build the best way to buy and sell cars online, we will also build the best ABS and captive finance business in the European car space.
This is a great opportunity for a young professional in the securitisation space to move to the issuer side. While you will have a better work-life balance, you will still have the excitement from being part of the growth and development of a key issuer in the European ABS space.
Our headquarters is in Berlin. We have some flexibility for remote working but you will be expected to be in Berlin at least for an initial onboarding period and subsequently be able to meet with colleagues on a regular basis in Berlin or London.
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Work Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in structured finance, securitization, or ABS transaction management preferably within an investment bank, asset-backed lender, or financial services company.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of ABS structuring, credit risk assessment, and transaction documentation. Familiarity with rating methodologies and securitization cash flow modeling is a plus.
Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of European ABS regulations, STS framework, and securitization market dynamics.
Stakeholder Management: Proven experience in managing external and internal stakeholders including investors, banks, and legal advisors in high-stakes transactions.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets, assess credit performance, and optimize ABS structures.
Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present transaction insights to senior management and external stakeholders.
Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; German or Italian is a plus.
