Amazon Pay, one of the fastest growing businesses within Amazon, is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager, who is responsible for expanding existing business with merchants. The Strategic Account Manager will identify and execute deals with existing Amazon Pay e-commerce merchants and expand the Amazon Pay business through improvements, expansion, and usage of Amazon Pay.
Key job responsibilities:
- Be responsible for building and improving relationships with e-commerce merchants at strategic levels. Develop an account plan for building the business. Coordinate functional teams to ensure the highest integration standards. Manage contract negotiations. Successfully prioritize the needs of merchant clients in a manner that balances merchant client needs and internal priorities.
- Explore new market and growth segment opportunities among the existing merchant portfolio.
- Partner with internal teams and other Amazon services teams to align programs, projects, and initiatives to drive growth. Partner closely with internal and external cross-functional teams to guide the direction of our product offerings. Drive content for internal business communications highlighting various initiatives, successes, and platform improvement opportunities through the voice of the merchant.
- Be accountable for driving, measuring, and reporting on key inputs and outputs for your Merchant Accounts.
- Support the compliance requirements of Strategic Merchants for the Strategic Account Management team.
About the team:
The Strategic Account Management team for Amazon Pay works with high-value, strategic Merchants offering Amazon Pay functionality on their website. Strategic Account Managers have a merchant portfolio of between 20 - 30 Merchant accounts and are accountable for their performance and relationship with Amazon Pay.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- A few years of experience working in sales or marketing in sectors like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS, or fintech.
- Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods at small and medium businesses.
- Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level.
- Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent.
