Statutory Account Manager Germany (m / f / d)

Work location: Berlin

Fugro Germany is looking for a Statutory Account Manager Germany based in Berlin. Remote working is partly possible.

The person is reporting to the Financial Controller Germany. The Statutory Account Manager Germany will ensure correct, compliant, and timely statutory accounts for Fugro Germany Marine and Fugro Germany Land. The person will manage the cooperation with external support partners and auditors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ROLE

1. Leads the communication and cooperation with tax advisors and auditors.
2. Manages the monthly closing for the statutory accounts including:
1. HGB Revenue
2. HGB WIP & Advance Payments
3. Tax accounts
3. Ensures the monthly evaluations for provisions.
4. Ensures that the ERP systems are preparing all needed reports (like SuSa / P+L) (with IT).
5. Coordinates the creation of the year-end statutory documentation (e.g., Lageplan & Anhang).
6. Prepares the monthly bridge-calculation between HGB and IFRS.
7. Manages continuous improvement in local (HGB) accounting.
8. Manages Internal Financial Audits and open items.
9. Coordinates the transfer pricing documentation and dividend payment processes.
10. Manages monthly external reporting (taxes, national bank reporting, etc.).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1. Master’s degree in finance and accounting, or equivalent.
2. 5-8 years relevant working experience.
3. Brings experience from an international company and hands-on mentality.
4. Advanced accounting skills and knowledge of HGB.
5. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics / Navision / IFS / Business Central or other ERP systems is an advantage.
6. Strong in Excel and MS Office.
7. Proactive with analytical skills and affinity for financial topics.
8. Brings solution-orientation as well as holistic thinking.
9. Excellent command of German and English, both spoken and written.
