RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qorvo recently acquired a leading MEMs sensor company. This technology is used in applications such as Automotive, Smart Home, Smartphone, Computing and Gaming and TWS headset applications. This is an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work with a small team, based in Munich (Germany) to develop this business across Europe, working in both the consumer electronics industry and automotive sectors, providing world class applications support direct to customers.
- Supporting customers with Mechanical and Electrical Design
- Reviewing customer Mechanical CAD designs.
- Simulating MEMs sensor performance in CAD software to derive optimum performance for bespoke customer applications
- Participating in multi-disciplinary system integration activities comprising Mechanical, Hardware, Software, and application specific system solutions
- Supporting customers with system design validation and debug from prototype to successful mass production ramp
- Delivering Technical Support for Mechanical, Hardware, Software and Application-specific system issues
- Reproducing and solving technical issues seen on customer platforms in the laboratory
- Working alongside Sales and Marketing teams to provide pre-design-in sales promotion support
- Presenting Qorvo’s Force Sensor technology to customers, assessing customer technical requirements and proposing appropriate mechanical solutions to meet those requirements
- Liaise between Qorvo Force Sensor Corporate Teams and customer from concept to mass production
- Delivering port Force Sensor Software Integration to Customer Platforms
REQUIREMENTS:
- A strong degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience, including on site field applications support, mechanical design and integration, driver & software integration support, mechanical integration, and full system bring-up at customer site
- Mechanical CAD design expert, with proficiency in simulation and modelling
- Experience working with high volume customers leading to successful production ramp preferred
- Excellent problem-solving approach and a strong desire to see the customer succeed
- Ability to work on own initiative to come up with innovative solutions
- Ability to plan and deliver to tight schedules and be self-motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, English proficiency required
- Some international travel can be expected
