Job Summary:

The Spare Parts Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Service Bill of Materials (SBOM) within the operations team. This role involves ensuring accurate documentation and effective coordination with various departments to publish the online parts catalogue (ServAid) for internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in spare parts management, knowledge in service functions, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and curiosity to develop digital solutions for customer centers & customers.

Key Responsibilities

Service Bill of Materials & online publication management

  1. Collaborate closely with R&D, Projects & SAS marketing team during project stage (new product development) and ensure all aftermarket deliverables are captured.
  2. Define serviceability of spare parts (Serviceable / Not serviceable) and level of spare parts in BOM (Spare parts, Module & Kits) in SAP.
  3. Define nature of spare parts in Bill of materials (Preventive, Wear & tear, Fasteners etc.).
  4. Co-ordinate with project management & SAS marketing team to finalize the initial stock recommended lists for every new project.
  5. Co-ordinate with ServAid team and publish all Service Bill of materials information as per divisional strategies.
  6. Co-ordinate with Marketing team and release newsletters to customer centres and customers in ServAid.
  7. Resolve queries related to the parts information published in ServAid.

Change Management

  1. Understand design change notices released from R&D and take action on Parts supersession / obsolescence’s in SBOM.
  2. Update online parts catalogue for the design changes and circulate critical change information to customer centres across the globe.

Digitalization:

  1. Identify areas of improvement and improve the data accuracy to enhance user experience in ServAid platform.
  2. Identify possible digitalization opportunities in Spare Parts Management function and support divisional initiatives to implement the solutions.
