With your expertise in IT solutions and passion for sustainability, you can play a crucial role in revolutionizing our EHS processes and seamlessly integrating digital solutions into our daily operations. In addition to our diverse benefits, you can expect an attractive starting salary of between €75,700/year and €91,600/year plus a variable component for a full-time position. The starting salary depends on your qualifications and professional experience.

Where your expertise is needed:

• Design, implement, and manage IT solutions in the areas of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Sustainability by using state-of-the-art cloud-computing and AI components.
• Transition new solutions into stable operational models.
• Manage end-user groups via key users regarding updates, changes, and user satisfaction.
• Coordinate internal IT specialists and external partners to deliver well-functioning IT solutions.
• Document managed systems, processes, and related information.
• Build and expand knowledge of market solutions and IT trends in the field of EHS and Sustainability.
• Continuously implement improvement measures in the IT solution landscape (Operational Excellence) to ensure better cost efficiency, stability, and performance of solutions.
• Contribute to and maintain Covestro's corporate culture and C3 values (Curious, Courageous, Colorful) through continuous improvements and innovative solutions.

What brings you to Covestro:

• University degree (Master's or Bachelor's) in (Business) Informatics, Engineering, or a related field in Information Technology with at least a couple of years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge in operating and developing IT solutions on cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS (experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform is also welcome).
• Knowledge of programming languages and frameworks relevant to cloud solutions (e.g., CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Python, JavaScript, Java) is advantageous.
• Experience with implementation processes using agile development methods like SCRUM, and working in a DevOps team.
• Experience in applying AI technologies in your daily work, for innovation and efficiency purposes.
• (Basic) knowledge of workflows in the chemical process industry, especially in EHS and sustainability areas, is highly beneficial.
• Strong project management skills and problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with international and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English skills; German language skills are desirable but not mandatory.
