Microsoft’s Japan Global Accounts team is looking for a European based regional leader to work on a set of automotive and manufacturing industry global accounts. You will have the opportunity to work with a strong senior account team and solutions specialist team helping our customers to make a strong impact in their industry through Microsoft’s Azure solutions portfolio.

As a senior solutions area specialist for Azure Application Innovation Solutions, you will work with the team to lead and execute on a overall Azure strategy by collaborating with your customer to understand their business needs and innovation goals. You will work with internal stakeholders for deal orchestration bringing together multiple global resources to create a winning situation for the customer and Microsoft. You will collaborate day to day with a team of account executives, DataAI specialists, Infrastructure specialists, technical resources, sales management, and partners to execute on a winning strategy to make sales goals.

This is a pivotal role on a small, diverse, and global team so being agile and having the ability to pivot is key. You must be resourceful, autonomous, and have the technical skills background to have technical conversations as well as business acumen to have a trusted advisor relationship with C-level executives with your customers.

You will be working remotely with the expectations of some travel within the EMEA region and occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

As an Azure Application & Innovation Sales Specialist, you will develop new business, build strong pipelines, and execute a business plan to achieve revenue and segment goals. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Creating “buy-in” vision with the Apps decision-makers as you take an active role in defining the customer’s business challenges and opportunities. Understand the financial, qualitative and competitive drivers impacting customer business. Establish credibility and trust by demonstrating that Microsoft solutions not only solve customer business problems but also the value they realized.
  2. Identifying customer’s digital transformation needs, business drivers, their perspectives, and concerns. Establishing and understanding the buying decision criteria and timeline.
  3. Orchestrating the technical experts to create the solution, validate it via Proof of Concept, and showcase how it meets customer business and technology requirements.
  4. Building business cases with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and negotiating a deal that’s based on value by leveraging various Microsoft offers and programs. Securing customer commitment for the business proposal.
  5. Driving App Innovation sales to exceed revenue, consumption and scorecard; maintaining excellence in pipeline management, accuracy of sales forecast, and deal close plans.
  6. Influencing the Microsoft Application Innovation go to market strategies by providing feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering on product requirements and sales blockers.
  7. Maintaining and growing expertise in developer tools, cloud native architecture and technologies, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the specialist community.
  8. Exceeding sales / cloud consumption quota by professional pipeline management and accurate forecasting.

Qualifications

It’s your technical knowledge and passion for technology that will enable you to achieve the commercial outcomes needed to be successful in this role. You will also be able to demonstrate:

  1. Significant technology sales (8+ years), consulting or account management experience
  2. An extensive background of selling modernization deals to large multinational organizations
  3. Knowledge of application architecture (Cloud / On Premise) and the competitor landscape
  4. Regular interaction with senior level decision-makers in customer organizations
  5. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience
