Solution Architect SAP Security & Authorization (m/f/d)
The Section IT Corporate Functions Finance delivers business value through the management of IT products including execution of change projects for all Finance departments of Munich RE’s Reinsurance Divisions worldwide.
As the Solution Architect for SAP Security & Authorization, you are responsible for the security and authorization concepts for our global SAP solutions. You will consult the product teams in implementing and maintaining appropriate security and authorization solutions based on the underlying internal and external guidelines and requirements.
Your Job
- Creating and maintaining authorization concepts for SAP products based on security standards and our internal IT norms.
- Coordinate with the software development teams to implement authorization-related business requirements in close collaboration with business experts.
- Consult and support SAP implementation projects to set up appropriate security and authorization concepts.
- Take over the responsibility for:
- SAP Security Audit Remediation
- SAP Security Monitoring
- SAP Threat Detection
- Awareness and application of external policies and guidelines:
- Resolve security-related questions with IT Security Officers and Auditors.
- Joint effort to establish compliance-approved solutions.
- Understand and support IT security strategies to facilitate the successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
Your Profile
- University degree, preferably in Computer Engineering/IT or similar qualification.
- Several years of experience in designing and implementing SAP authorization concepts.
- Deep understanding of SAP security technology, SAP security guidelines, and SAP security tools:
- Very good knowledge of the SAP Global Account Concept.
- Very good knowledge of SAP Cloud Identity Services, SAP Cloud Identity Provisioning, and Cloud transport management.
- Deep understanding of SAP HANA and SAP S/4 HANA role and security concepts.
- SAP Business Technology Platform access and authorization experience with platform capabilities is preferred.
- Skills in translating ISO and NIST controls into SAP S&A best practices are appreciated.
- Highly motivated to learn about VAIT and DORA Bafin requirements and to incorporate them into corresponding concepts.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills – experience in larger business application development projects as SAP Security & Authorization Solution Architect.
- Track record of successful implementations of SAP security concepts.
- Experienced in agile working perspectives using tools such as Azure DevOps in a highly regulated IT environment.
- Consulting and collaborative working style and a willingness to participate in a culture of accountability and sharing.
- A high degree of commitment and the willingness and ability to master various tasks are essential.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and German.
- Strong communication skills to translate and explain (verbal and written) processes, trade-off decisions, work organization, etc. to various stakeholders.
