Software Engineer (m/w/d) Intern

Job Description
As a PHP Laravel Developer, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications. You’ll work closely with front-end developers, designers, and project managers to build robust, scalable solutions. You should have strong expertise in PHP, specifically with the Laravel framework, and experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write clean, well-structured code following best practices and standards.
• Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and web services.
• Implement database solutions, including designing schemas, creating efficient queries, and optimizing performance.
• Perform code reviews and participate in regular team meetings.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in PHP and Laravel development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience of at least 1 year as a PHP Developer, specifically with Laravel.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and familiarity with MVC frameworks.
• Solid understanding of database management, including MySQL and/or other relational databases.
• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of web security best practices and application performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
