Peraton requires Systems Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located in Stuttgart, Germany and requires TESA approval.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Systems Engineers perform tier three systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. Systems Engineers must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of data center hardware and software. Extensive experience in areas such as systems design and implementation, systems integration, security, ports and protocols, as well as server and network infrastructure is required. Systems Engineers test and analyze elements of data center facilities, including power, software, security features, interoperability, and communications, and are responsible for the overall integration of enterprise systems. Systems Engineers are also responsible for planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of systems solutions. They monitor and control the performance and status of systems resources by using software and hardware tools, as well as by identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting system performance. Systems Engineers keep technical skills updated and study vendor products to determine those which best meet the Government’s needs. This position provides guidance and direction for junior systems support administrators, engineers, and staff working on site.
