Could you be the full-time Site Finance Director (f/m/d) in Bautzen we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
In Bautzen, 1,200 colleagues manufacture S-Bahn, tram, and light rail vehicles, as well as high-speed trains, with a focus on final assembly, commissioning, and delivery. Our general management ensures that Alstom continues to grow and becomes more successful . You’ll report to Financial Director Mainline DACH and lead a dedicated team of 15 employees.
We’ll look for you to:
Financial Management and Controlling
Be responsible for providing accurate and transparent information, support, and performance enablers to the site management team.
Assist the Site Managing Director in all financial matters.
Interpret data and figures while serving as the interface between site functions.
Monitor and forecast the QCD financial indicators of the sites concerned.
Set targets and create a control environment for cost management within the sites to maximize performance.
Monitor financial flows and validate the final reports.
Control and validate the financial data provided by the site functions.
Challenge and provide insights for risks or variance analyses.
Provide financial support to business management backed by consolidated data and analysis.
Provide all necessary analysis and assistance to the central management control team, working at actual, forecast, and budget levels.
Develop action plans to optimize performance and implement corrective actions.
Follow restructuring and capacity extension plans, if any.
Validate the site budget, 3-Year Plan, Rolling Forecast, and Reporting.
Reporting and Coordination
Set the environment to collect, consolidate, analyze, and validate financial data in order to produce actual budgets and forecasts, draw conclusions on variances in resource allocation, and recommend corrective actions.
Validate the financial structure of the locations (processes and systems) to satisfy all internal and external requirements.
Comply with the reporting definitions of Alstom guidelines to provide consistent and informative management information and ensure compliance with internal control.
Interface with the regional controller and Cluster Finance Director from the operations side to report and cascade information.
Management
Coordinate the planning and budgeting scope, activities, and schedule of the locations while setting targets to produce reliable data, resource plans, and budgets.
Support the VP of Finance Operations with ad-hoc analyses.
Manage the site controlling team.

University degree in Finance, Master degree
Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant finance experience
External Audit, Site Control or Project Control experience
Fluent in German English, additional language a plus
Safe handling of SAP and MS Office applications, especially MS Project
Relevant professional experience in work preparation-specific tasks and activities
Management experience and good communication skills
Strong analytical skills and hands-on mentality
Independent and structured way of working, reliability
