Within the SGRE Group, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Deutschland GmbH specializes in the maintenance of offshore wind turbines and maintains turbines with more than 1,000 MW of installed capacity at sea. The company is located in Bremerhaven.

Service Technician (f / m / d) Offshore Wind farms North Sea

Your main assignments in this position are:

  1. Perform scheduled service (500-Hrs, Annual, etc.) procedures on North Sea offshore wind turbines without supervision.
  2. Identify and troubleshoot common, reoccurring, and major component faults on electrical and mechanical systems of the offshore turbine where duly trained / certified.
  3. Provide on-job qualification training, evaluating competency and quality for troubleshooting procedures of individuals assigned to them.
  4. Perform unscheduled maintenance jobs.
  5. Develop advanced troubleshooting knowledge and skills on site with competent individuals.
  6. Lead small teams; accountable for the safety, competency and productivity of Trainees, Maintenance technicians and Contractors assigned to them for maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  7. Keep records, maintain documentation and report technical, safety issues and difficulties to the relevant individuals on site / back office.
  8. Maintain and follow safety procedures as required by company policy.
  9. Participate in all relevant call arrangements (flexibility is important), if applicable.

Passion for renewable energy and a sense of climate change. In addition, we are looking for...

  1. Successfully completed electrical education / training (according to German regulations).
  2. Several years of working experience within the wind sector, preferably offshore.
  3. Offshore ready according to GWO standard.
  4. Advanced understanding of electrical & mechanical systems of all turbine components and systems.
  5. Proactive and independent way of working.
  6. Team player.
  7. Flexibility in regards to shift work and site location.
  8. Advanced understanding of IT.
  9. Advanced knowledge in Business English.
