As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Sales & Partnerships organization, reporting to the Manager of DACH Solutions Engineering. You will work primarily with our German sales team that is dedicated to serving the public sector, NGOs and education. You will be supporting sales opportunities and driving customer acquisition, while working on fun and challenging projects that help drive our business and market growth. You will also be the interface between sales, Product & Eng, Customer Success, and data privacy on technical topics and product-related projects.
You have 4-5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar profession.
You have a strong technical background and understanding of SaaS, IT infrastructure, IT stack and security protocols.
A broad understanding of the market for mid-sized customers in Germany such as profile, buying behaviours and dynamics.
You are customer-centric and commercially driven.
You are also data-driven, think analytically and are able to rightsize your efforts based on customer/business needs.
Working knowledge and understanding of value engineering and ROI/TCO Quantification.
Experience working with national and EU-wide public tenders.
Understanding of the public and non-governmental sector structure.
Knowledge in legal frameworks (such as EU GDPR, KWG, Public Law, BGB) is a plus.
Fluency in German and English.

As an SE, you’ll have deep technical knowledge of Personio’s product suite and be the first line of defense and product expert for sales and prospects.
You will own and drive expertise around product positioning, product use cases, technical landscape and demo best practices.
You will support the creation of business value assessment with ROI/TCO calculations.
You will act as an Industry expert in the public and nonprofit sector.
Travel to customer site as needed (10-20% of time).
