Senior Software Engineer for Cloud-based Data Processing (f/m/x)

As a Senior Developer specializing in AWS/Azure, you will architect, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions while promoting best practices in data governance to support BMW's digital transformation.

What awaits you?

1. Designing and maintaining scalable and reliable distributed systems using AWS / AZURE services.
2. Working with distributed database systems and SQL, utilizing frameworks like MapReduce and Spark.
3. Developing clean, maintainable Python code while adhering to testing best practices.
4. Implementation of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, including data governance and data pipeline management.

What should you bring along?

1. University degree in computer science or a related field (BEng/BSc/MSc/PhD preferred).
2. Professional experience with a focus on data-driven technologies.
3. Experience in distributed systems and cloud architectures, particularly with AWS.
4. Strong knowledge of distributed database systems, SQL, and data pipeline management.
5. Proficiency in Python programming and software engineering principles.
6. Familiarity with CI/CD practices, DevOps methodologies, and data governance.
7. Business-fluent in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable but not mandatory.
