We're looking for an engineer who is excited about leveraging data to transform venture capital. As part of our team, you'll play a key role in building data-driven systems that revolutionize how we identify and evaluate startups to drive smarter investment decisions. Location-wise, you are based in Munich or Berlin.
Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model, the opportunity to work from different offices across Germany, and regular team offsites within Europe—plus exciting company-wide events to connect and collaborate.

Through two separate strategies, Earlybird focuses on tech-enabled businesses in fintech/insurtech, enterprise software, and deep tech (energy, food, and space) while Earlybird Health focuses on improving patient outcomes. Earlybird additionally has a Growth Opportunity Fund for follow-on investments, and a pro-bono impact initiative, Vision Lab. With EUR 2.5 billion under management across fund streams and a history of 9 IPOs and 33 trade sales, Earlybird is among Europe’s most established and active venture capital firms.
Our core stack includes Python, Apache Airflow, and PostgreSQL. We work in Google Cloud Platform, making use of services like Cloud Composer, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.
As a first step in the interview process, you'll meet a member of the Engineering team to talk about your background, motivations, and to ask us any questions you might have. Depending on the role, we'll then schedule a Coding Interview and a System Design Interview to evaluate your technical skills. Finally, you'll get a chance to meet the entire Engineering team and to talk to one of Earlybird's partners as well.
