About the Role

As a Senior Simulation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in continuously developing our digital twin of the analog AI chip architecture based on different simulation models and testing it on our in-house AI models using various programming tools and rapid prototyping frameworks.

1. Develop and refine digital twin models of dynamic physical systems (electrical circuits) using methods of numerical mathematics.
2. Troubleshoot and debug MATLAB/Python/C++ source codes.
3. Optimize discrete models of dynamical systems (electrical circuits) to enhance performance, stability, robustness, and convergence across diverse AI applications.
4. Work closely with cross-functional teams to adapt models for integration into AI and ML workflows.
5. Apply methods from nonlinear stability theory to investigate the stability properties of the underlying discrete model describing a digital twin of the dynamical physical system (electrical circuit).
6. Aid our project teams in defining goals, milestones, and work packages.
7. Participate in regular team meetings and contribute insights to enhance project outcomes.

About You:
Essentials:

1. Advanced degree (master's or Ph.D.) in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Over 5 years of industry experience in numerical modelling, dynamical system simulation, or a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of numerical mathematics for accurate, performance-optimised simulations (especially in numerical integration methods for solving ODEs).
4. Proven experience in developing digital twin models or simulations of dynamical systems.
5. Proficiency in C++ or Python for modelling and simulation purposes.
6. Demonstrated success in optimising performance for computational models (e.g., runtime, stability, robustness).
7. Experience in program scripting in MATLAB.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication and a team player.
9. Ability to report and present in English.
10. Flexibility and willingness to work in an agile deep-tech start-up.

Preferred:

1. Background in electrical engineering with a focus on circuit simulation.
2. Experience with digital signal processing.
3. Familiarity with AI and ML applications, particularly in edge computing environments.
