Alvotech is a global biopharmaceutical company that is in the process of establishing itself as one of the leaders in the biosimilar industry. The company is headquartered in Reykjavik, Iceland and has an increasingly global presence, relying on a broad network of partners around the world.
For the Analytical Research and Development department (ARD) in Jülich we are looking for a Senior Scientist in a temporary position (14 months) as a maternity replacement. The Senior Scientist is mainly responsible for development and execution of SPR-based analytical methods for biosimilar characterization. Analyses of GMP samples from e.g., head-to-head similarity studies, as well as developmental samples requiring custom approaches are routinely performed. The position is central within the Biacore and Binding group, working closely with the group’s Manager to define approaches and outline work, while the Senior Scientist independently plans and executes the relevant experiments. Furthermore, the scientist provides guidance and troubleshooting for the laboratory technicians on a daily basis. The scientist is further responsible for data analysis and writing of method development and qualification reports. The candidate should have a proven track record of successful biophysical research in an academic environment or several years of relevant industry experience.
