Senior Product Owner (AI) (Local to Germany)

I am looking for a Senior Product Owner with expertise in AI or ML-driven products to join my client from Germany that creates an engineering intelligence platform that helps develop, produce and maintain highly complex mechatronic products, such as passenger cars or aircraft, more efficiently and sustainably.

This is a fully remote role but you have to be based in Germany and ready to travel to Berlin and other locations for client and team meetings.

As Senior Product Owner, you will drive the development and optimization of the company's AI-powered workflow automation tools. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the AI agent's capabilities, focusing on automating engineering tasks, reducing manual effort, and increasing efficiency.

You will:

• Shape and communicate a clear vision for the company's AI solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and client needs.
• Lead efforts to extract actionable intelligence from large datasets, transforming raw data into high-impact AI products that address real-world challenges.
• Focus on developing high-value features based on data analysis, customer feedback, and market research, ensuring they deliver measurable results for both clients and the business.
• Oversee the entire product development process - ideation through release - ensuring products are delivered on time, meet high-quality standards, and fulfill customer needs.
• Incorporate customer insights and feedback into the product development process, ensuring that AI-driven solutions address pain points and enhance user experience.
• Manage sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, fostering an experimental, improvement-driven mindset within your team.
• Serve as the primary link between technical teams, sales, marketing, and value management, ensuring alignment, clear communication, and shared expectations.

You have:

• Extensive experience as a Product Owner or Manager, developing solutions based on large datasets.
• Expertise in AI or ML-driven products is highly valued, though experience transforming unstructured data into actionable insights is equally relevant.
• Proven success in managing products within B2B SaaS environments, especially in industries like automotive, machinery, defense, or aerospace.
• Strong experience leading Agile teams through processes such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
• Deep analytical abilities to assess product features, make data-driven decisions and measure outcomes effectively.
• Proficiency in conveying complex technical requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships across departments and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
