Our cross-functional Engineering teams develop scalable and secure microservices and APIs for the different domains of our product. As (Senior) Platform Engineer, you are not only an individual contributor but support your team with a strong customer-centric mindset and a drive to take on ownership over product capabilities or technical components. Two-week sprints based on Scrum help our teams to self-organize their tasks and continuously improve the way they work to deliver value through our products for our customers.

As part of one Platform Team, you will play a vital role in embracing a product-centric mindset while focusing on automation, orchestration, and robust systems:

  1. 'Shift left' approach will be your mantra — moving tasks closer to the most suited team, and extending the agile philosophy across the organization.
  2. Implement, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, aiding in the swift and efficient delivery of software products.
  3. Use Kubernetes to orchestrate containerized applications, virtual machines (VMs), and serverless architectures, crafting a platform that simplifies engineering workloads.
  4. Implement microservice onboarding pathways, delivering frictionless integration experiences for other engineering teams.
  5. Centralize your efforts around enhancing our network infrastructure, managing Service Mesh, DNS, and employing cutting-edge network security practices.

WHAT IS OUR STACK?

Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Istio and Cillium

Modern CI/CD and infrastructure tool chain: Argo CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible

Java & Kotlin using microservice frameworks such as Dropwizard, Quarkus and Spring Boot

API Technologies such as REST and GraphQL

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  1. Solve problems and deliver customer value
  2. Have working knowledge of administrating Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  3. Have a deep understanding of public cloud providers, with a strong preference for experience with Azure.
  4. Familiarity with cloud automation tools like Terraform is also highly valued.
  5. Appreciate the efficiency that CI/CD brings and are familiar with tools like GitHub and Argo CD.
  6. Deep understanding of networking principles, Service Mesh, and DNS.
  7. Take ownership and drive topics
  8. Work in a product and customer focussed team
