Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Optical Engineer with deep expertise in microscopy imaging technology and extensive process experience. The ideal candidate will be familiar with precision opto-mechanical structures and capable of designing and building cutting-edge microscope systems. You will be responsible for simulating and validating imaging principles, working closely with the R&D team to guide the full product lifecycle from prototype to commercial production. Your work will address various challenges in system development, enhance product stability, and ensure our technology remains industry-leading.

Key Responsibilities

1. Imaging System R&D:
   1. Design, develop, prototype, and integrate optical imaging or vision systems.
   2. Document and analyze the underlying technical principles throughout the development process.
2. System Simulation and Validation:
   1. Perform theoretical calculations, simulation design, and optimization for optical systems.
   2. Build validation setups to quantitatively evaluate imaging performance, including aberration and error analysis.
3. Imaging Quality Optimization:
   1. Address and resolve technical challenges and potential issues arising during optical system design and process development.
   2. Continuously drive improvements to ensure high-quality product delivery.
4. Component Selection and Testing:
   1. Select appropriate optical components in collaboration with structural engineers.
   2. Contribute to the design of the opto-mechanical structures, develop product processes, and refine assembly procedures.
5. Industry Trend Analysis:
   1. Monitor and study the latest advancements in imaging technologies.
   2. Validate the principles of emerging microscopy and vision imaging techniques to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

1. Educational Background:
   1. Master’s degree or higher in Optical Design, Optical Engineering, Precision Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
2. Work Experience:
   1. At least 5 years of experience in the design and integration of complete imaging systems at an internationally renowned microscopy company.
3. Technical Skills:
   1. Proficient in optical debugging techniques and opto-mechanical structure design.
   2. Skilled in using design software such as Zemax and SolidWorks.
   3. Familiar with super-resolution microscopy principles, including confocal, spinning disk, SIM, STED, and SMLM.
4. Personal Attributes:
   1. Strong sense of responsibility, clear logical thinking, excellent planning and coordination skills, and effective communication abilities.
   2. Ability to travel extensively when required.
