To strengthen our The Match Factory Marketing & Communications team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Manager Marketing & Communications (m/f/d).The position is responsible for the B2B communication and development of a marketing strategy for the launch of our films at renowned film festivals and markets.
Planning, conception and project management of marketing initiatives for international film sales and working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications on each designated title to develop a strategic publicity plan through to release
Managing outside PR agencies and suppliers ahead and at premieres
Managing the budget on designated releases and maintain budget reconciliation
Development and maintenance of all materials (sales presentation, website, newsletter, events, PR)
Strategically aligning communication with our B2B partners
Managing TMF’s presence on B2B trade fairs & events (Sundance, Berlinale, Cannes, Venice, Toronto, AFM, etc)
Collaborating closely within The Match Factory and MUBI and with other departments (Sales, Acquisitions, Business Affairs, Production) to ensure the strategic direction for each release is successfully implemented to plan
Acting as principal point of contact on the title and report back on status
Experience as a senior sales or marketing manager in the entertainment industry in the field of B2B communication or comparable experience, for example in film distribution or film festivals
Successfully completed university degree in the field of communication, media studies, business administration with a focus on marketing or comparable training/work experience
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the film landscape
Experience in developing a strategic communications
Demonstrated theatrical publicity experience coupled with a track record of achievement
Adept at dealing with talent and representatives
High level of initiative, strong analytical and organizational skills, an ability to grasp issues quickly and think in terms of results with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Demonstrated experience of working within a dynamic and fast paced demanding environment
Strong cross-group collaboration skills; proven ability to work across multiple cross-functional business areas
Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage
