The Sr. Manager DC Wholesale logistics & BI Europe is responsible for managing the key topics of Forecasting and short term (months) Outbound Planning, driving and supporting operational fulfillment, measuring/analyzing DC performance, and owning the creation of needed transparency across the entire European DC Network. In addition, the management of Wholesale driven customer special handling & Value-added requirements (analysis, standardization, decision of European implementation in alignment with customers) is key to success.
The position is responsible for timely preparation and processing of DC Data to measure, interpret and anticipate constraints within the next 3 months horizon within the European DC network, creating solution proposals to be distributed. The position constantly enhances innovatively the reporting format and level of detail to fulfill DC and business requirements on time. Having interpreted and analyzed this, it is a relevant basis for Senior Management decision making.
Acting as SPOC for DC capacities and capabilities for DC Heads as well as key stakeholders, the position initiates and drives actions to optimize OTIF across the Network and fulfill financial targets. All on the basis of business forecasts which need to be consolidated and aligned. Owning the short term (3 months horizon) planning and execution of European outbound, the position contributes to the success of the entire DC Network.
On top, Wholesale and MSU order & SLA management secures Europe Wholesale Business success significantly. Steering the execution by day-to-day target achievement tracking and initiating effective actions in case of noncompliance secures European month end target achievement.
To serve wholesale customers best in class, managing and supporting stock availability by market-to-market transfers including de-customization as well as managing Value-added service / special handling requests (e.g., Labeling and tagging) by analyzing, creating solution options and taking decision of implementation. The position owns implementation from request to GoLive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the DC Wholesale Logistics & BI Team; be a People manager by setting clear objectives, developing a high-performance team, providing deep or broad expertise, and securing diversity. Identify needs in organizational development and create solution proposals.
- Ensure strategy and business tactics are implemented and followed in operational plans and daily routines.
- Make day-to-day decisions especially within the complex business environment. Responsible for planning, implementing and controlling the efficient, effective flow of goods, services and related information in cooperation with SCM and business functions. Drive and secure strong collaboration across multiple departments within and outside SCM; convince stakeholders with divergent interests and offer customized solutions.
- Responsible to capture, challenge, align and combine Forecasts across all channels for all DCs in Europe into DC specific and standardized formats. Drive optimized Forecast accuracy as a key; especially Wholesale & MSU.
- Create outbound and throughput plans for the European Distribution Network for the next 3 months. This includes gap analysis and counter measures initiation as well as professional communication. Also, capacity alignments with DC Heads ensuring consistency between top-down Deployment capacities and bottom-up operational planning capacities. Build and maintain standardized capacity tools for all European DCs. Be a key stakeholder and strong partner for European DC Network Planning.
- Manage daily Wholesale business. Review and analyze daily order books and outbound target achievement per DC and align with DC Heads in case of backlog situations to create a plan to recover. Monitor and drive constantly Order Progress within aligned priorities. Represent DC Operations re Business in projects and day-to-day discussions (especially regarding Campaign planning, backlog situations and monthly target settings).
- Be responsible and decide on special handling / VAS requirements implementation having aligned with business stakeholders and customers. This includes especially labeling / tagging, RFID as well as packing requirements. Also be responsible for rework and de-VAS activities. Own timely updates of SAP condition records and proper documentation (S&OPs).
- Manage DC Data and own DC specific reporting & transparency via various systems (Manhattan WMS, SAP, Excel, SCI, Power BI, MicroStrategy) to measure and monitor KPIs, Productivity, SLA and throughput progress. Create and enhance meaningful dashboards.
- All responsibility needs a smooth, transparent, and robust connection & communication between all relevant stakeholders from inside and outside of the organization across all hierarchy levels. The position contributes significantly to the achievement of DC targets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong competence and experience in MS Office, Power BI & SQL.
- Strong and proven analytical skills.
- Broad experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to lead and influence discussions in diverse groups of varying size (internal & external).
- Leadership, motivated team player willing to learn, commitment and motivation, self-control.
- Fluent in English and German (verbal and written).
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management; alternatively, equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a management position including people management.
