Responsibilities:

• Optimizing and stabilizing the company’s Linux environment (through introducing new technologies)
• Lead and take part in the installation, maintenance, and support of all server hardware and software
• Implement redundant systems for disaster recovery to ensure effective availability of server infrastructure
• Organizing technical activities and operations as well as project work
• Function as a role model/ expert in the Linux field to the diverse global team
• Experience as a Linux Engineer for a larger user group (500+ servers)
• Commissioning and administering physical and virtual servers
• Strong knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, PHP, J2EE, Icinga
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code: Design and security, configuration management, integration, deployment, performance monitoring and tuning, automation of infrastructure
• The following qualifications would be a plus (but are not a must): project management, process leading, valid RHCE
