As a Senior Employer Branding Lead at Zalando, you will be instrumental in shaping and driving our employer brand strategy to attract, engage, and retain top talent. This high-impact role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional project lead skills and a deep understanding of the employer branding landscape.
You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organisation to influence a compelling employer value proposition (EVP) and execute innovative employer branding initiatives that resonate with our target audience.

Leadership: Develop and lead the employer branding strategy aligned with Zalando's overall talent acquisition and retention goals. Enhancing the visibility of the Employer Branding team within the organisation by identifying and leveraging key opportunities for participation and collaboration. Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure employer branding initiatives support business objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Gap the bridge between business priorities and the Employer Branding team by being able to showcase the impact of Employer Branding with business stakeholders, manage expectations and lead prioritisation for the team. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Communications, and other internal teams to align employer branding efforts.
Employer Value Proposition (EVP): Define and continuously refine Zalando’s EVP to reflect our unique culture, values, and career opportunities in collaboration with senior management. Ensure the EVP is effectively communicated through all employer branding channels and touchpoints with the support of the team.
Analytics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of employer branding initiatives. Analyse data and reports on the impact of employer branding activities, using insights to inform future strategies.
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing employer branding team of 9, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Identify skill gaps and provide training and development opportunities to team members.
Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in employer branding and recruitment marketing. Identify and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance employer branding efforts.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in employer branding, recruitment marketing, or related fields, with a track record of developing and executing successful employer branding strategies.
Project leadership skills, team building & team development skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences.
Proficiency in using digital marketing and social media platforms for employer branding purposes.
Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and inform strategy.
Passion for talent acquisition and a deep understanding of the candidate experience.
