Job Description:

Role: Senior Java Software Developer (m/f/d)

Tools: Java - specifically Core Java

Salary: up to €100,000

Industry: Consultancy - working on key government projects

About:

Stott and May proudly collaborates with an established consultancy, who for 20 years, have been a key software partner to several German government departments. With a key long-term project confirmed, they are looking to expand the Java Development team with numerous key hires.

What you'll be doing:

1. Develop business logic for both client and server-side applications based on customer requirements and architectural principles.
2. Analyze and align (customer) requirements within project scopes.
3. Perform error analysis in both internal and client-side test environments.
4. Identify areas for optimization and code refactoring.
5. Develop unit tests.

Skills & Experience:

1. Complete university degree in a field related to IT.
2. At least five years of experience working with Core Java in complex projects (preferably in desktop application development).
3. Structured and results-oriented approach to work.
4. Fluent in German - written and spoken.
5. Strong knowledge of Core Java (Version 8).
6. Any experience you have with the following would be advantageous: GIT, Maven, EJB, Hibernate, Liquibase, Vaadin, JavaFX, Jenkins, Wildfly, JBoss EAP, Swing, Java Persistence API, Oracle DB 19c, XML, SOAP, JNI, C++, Citrix, Linux, Confluence, Jira.
