Senior Java Developer | Freelancer

Our client is a German FinTech company with an innovative own product/platform.

We are looking to hire a skilled remote working Senior Backend Developer (Java) to join the successful team and to contribute to the migration from Ruby to Java and develop the company's product further.

You can work as a Contractor or Employee.

Company’s Tech Stack:

1. Java ecosystem
2. Kubernetes on AWS
3. GitLab (repository, CI/CD, images, packages, issue tracking)
4. Postgresql

You will be responsible for:

1. Researching, designing, implementing and maintaining the new product’s backend (in Java ecosystem).
2. Understanding and documenting the existing product (in Ruby on Rails).
3. Finding ways for a reliable infrastructure/product, implementing and ensuring them.
4. Seeing yourself as a user and recommending improvements for the existing product.
5. Being part of developing the whole company culture and mindset.

Desired Profile:

1. Meaningful and solid experience with the Java environment (Ruby on Rails is a plus).
2. Ability to really contribute to the architectural and product decision process.
3. Fluent in English (German is a plus).
