You will be part of our Investment Management Team that contributes to our growth in new business opportunities in Germany. The team is responsible for acquiring new sites/assets, disposition of our projects, equity raising and setting up joint ventures, GP/LP structures or other types of partnerships.

As a Senior Investment Manager, your primary responsibilities within Edge are:

• Supervision of Underwriting: Supervise the analysis of new investment and development opportunities performed by junior colleagues by giving feedback and input and by being responsible for the quality of the full underwriting process. Partner with commercial and development team members as well as the Management Team to derive cohesive and fitting business plans for the opportunities.
• Transaction activities: Source and develop new fitting investment opportunities via market and network engagement. Lead deal teams by managing the acquisition process until deal closings, including managing and reviewing Due Diligence and conducting contract negotiations. Communicate with external partners such as brokers, attorneys, investors and third-party consultants. Liaise with senior management to secure internal alignment on deals and adherence to internal processes.
• Internal and External Reporting: Work collaboratively with investor relations and oversee and conduct the preparation of business plans and reporting. Develop Investment Committee memos for internal and external stakeholders.

• 5-10 years of related work experience, including international experience in Investment Banking of Real Estate.
• Master’s degree in (Business) Economics, Business Administration or Real Estate.
• High-energy personality, self-starting and strong capability to work with agents and internal stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of the real estate market and transactions, deal-oriented approach and strong work ethic.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills in combination with a detailed understanding of real estate economics and mechanics.
• Established network in the German and International Real Estate Investment Environment.
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, networking and presentation skills (German and English).
• Ability to lead deal teams, partner across teams, summarize issues and develop comprehensive investment proposals.
• Highly proficient in Excel.
• Ability to cope with time pressure and work in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects.
