What will I be doing:

  1. Managing the HR function for a group of approx. 25 hotels located across several countries in Continental Europe.
  2. Create a learning climate, developing the HR and business teams' skills, knowledge, and abilities to ensure the achievement of business goals.
  3. Ensure successful implementation of the Regional HR Strategy and Strategic Operational Priorities at the hotel level.
  4. Develop and motivate a high-performing, innovative HR team.
  5. Understand the unique roles and responsibilities, strategic goals, and business needs of each of their assigned Hotels to provide a proactive HR service.
  6. Strengthen cross-country collaboration among HR and Hotel teams to achieve organisational goals.
  7. Support and influence Great Places To Work initiatives.
  8. Drive activation of Global Team Member Survey (GTMS) participation across all hotels and implementation of GTMS Action Plans.
  9. Oversee key employee relations cases and partnerships.
  10. Provide guidance to ensure compliance with company policies.
  11. Lead and guide the local HR teams.
  12. Provide support to senior managers to improve workplace flexibility, increase retention, and decrease staff turnover. Identify root causes and address them with the local team.
  13. Stakeholder management at the VP Ops, AGM and GM level.
  14. Participate in Hotel support visits and action plan follow-up.
  15. Establish a strong partnership with all corporate HR departments, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation and benefits, L&D, and Compliance.
  16. Active participation in regional, EMEA or Global projects in a consulting or leading role.
  17. Through clear HR Measures and internal customer feedback, continuously review the HR Service level provided and make necessary improvements.

What are we looking for?

  1. A proven track record in an HR generalist or specialist discipline that demonstrates business improvement.
  2. A positive and change-oriented attitude, able to translate strategy into actionable objectives and deliver efficiency and measurable improvements.
  3. Demonstrable experience of successfully operating across multiple business units and/or countries.
  4. A proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and across functions to enable delivery of HR and business objectives.
  5. Knowledge and experience of project management or process optimisation and a continuous improvement mindset.
  6. Good commercial instincts are important, as well as the ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders to support the overall performance of the business.
  7. Understanding of current and future HR best practices and exposure to key initiatives including Team Member Engagement, DE&I, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Rewards and Benefits.
