The Senior HRBP - HR Site Head, Cologne will have responsibility to drive consistency with regard to all people related topics and human resources practices across the site. Implements and coordinates change initiatives to support organizational effectiveness within the business. Responsible for coordinating and some delivery of management training and education. Provide leadership in the performance management and salary planning processes. Active member of Site Leadership team and collaborates closely with the local works council. Support the journey and maturation of the centers of excellence (CoE) by acting as the German labor / payroll law SME to drive efficiencies and compliance. The position will also regularly partner with talent acquisition to establish an employer brand and secure top talent.

The site has approximately 120 employees within Operations, R&D, Marketing & Sales functions and the person will be the only HR representative for the site, working closely with the global CoE network to drive HR support to the site. This position is expected to be onsite at our Cologne facility daily, with occasional work from home options being available.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide business support on all HR related topics to the site & leadership team. Key areas of expertise: Coaching, Facilitation, Employee Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Assessment and Recommendations regarding policy and practice.
2. Works with managers to develop and understand staffing requirements and human resources plans.
3. Will independently manage the most senior level projects or problems involving HR.
4. Provides coaching to managers and supervisors regarding performance, discipline and other related matters.
5. Is experienced in dealing with employee relations issues and investigations and provides guidance to other team members.
6. Develops and delivers training in key areas of HR responsibility including, but not limited to anti-harassment training, interview training and supervisory training.
7. In close collaboration with the site head meets with the local works council on a regular basis.
8. Support in administrative tasks.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor`s or equivalent work experience in Human Resources related discipline, Business Administration.
2. Extensive experience and knowledge in German labor law, market and dealing with works councils.
3. Experience in payroll and with service centers.
4. Fluent in German and English.
5. Working in a multinational, matrixed organization is a plus.
