Shape the digital customer experience of the future as a front-end developer

The Customer Experience (CX) team at Covestro is responsible for developing innovative solutions to improve the digital customer experience. The Senior Frontend Developer position drives the development of user interfaces for CX solutions and sets high standards for customer experience on a global scale.

Look forward to the following tasks and responsibilities:

• You will design, develop and maintain complex, responsive user interfaces using the Angular framework and TypeScript in collaboration with our designers.
• You use and improve our global UI library for our CX solutions.
• Your code is clean, automatically tested, maintainable and well documented.
• You help your colleagues with their development through joint code reviews and pair programming.
• You optimize application performance and improve the overall user experience.
• You keep up to date with the latest frontend technologies, trends and best practices.

You can convince us with the following profile:

• You have a university degree in computer science or a related field or a similar, equivalent degree.
• This is complemented by many years of proven professional experience as a frontend developer, including in-depth knowledge of the Angular framework (version 17 or higher), TypeScript and its ecosystem.
• You also have experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g. Jasmine, Karma) and end-to-end testing tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright).
• You are also familiar with state management libraries (e.g. NgRx, RxJS).
• Strong problem solving, analysis, communication and collaboration skills are expected of you.
• Fluency in written and spoken English rounds off your profile.
