The successful candidate will lead and manage the Sweet Goods & Beverages Application Laboratory and Technical team in Fircol, motivating and mentoring in line with dsm-firmenich core values and competencies. They will facilitate a team approach and secure implementation of Zonal & Local Technical Goals.
They will position dsm-firmenich as the flavor supplier to count on for competitive added value market knowledge, brand understanding, winning flavors, and technologies. Key responsibilities
- Build strategic partnership with functions (Creation, Marketing, Collection Management), the European Technical Team, Sales, and other dsm-firmenich groups, and promote collaborative teamwork to meet our needs and deliver on the strategy.
- Tailor & deploy the strategy by focusing on our clients, our core categories, and our core brands. Assess the results through the year, contribute to highlighting to REU Technical Management the beverages & sweet goods local needs for future strategy reviews and alignments.
- Assure that the laboratory and its equipment are regulatory serviced and maintained according to local regulations and dsm-firmenich HS&E policy.
- Set objectives, conduct progress reviews, and CPI for the local technical team in collaboration with REU Technical Management.
- Ensure that company policies and rules are enforced by the application team while respecting good laboratory practices following established HSE rules.
- Carry out various food applications to highlight the performance of Firmenich flavors solutions and develop new food/beverage formulations based on industrial standards and country-specific requirements.
- Select and evaluate the right flavor solution in compliance with legal, cost, client, and application requirements.
- Understand the commercial needs of the brief, including value and price criteria.
- Act as the technical contact for certain key clients/categories.

You bring
- Secondary education in a food-related subject (MSc).
- Good understanding and proficiency in speaking/writing in English.
- Significant experience in a laboratory position.
- Passion for food preparation/tasting.
