My client, a rapidly expanding CRO urgently have a requirement for a talented Business Development Director to join the team on a permanent basis. In this role, the selected candidate will play a key leadership role in promoting the company's CRO services to both existing and potential clients, managing key accounts, and identifying new market opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record in leading successful business development strategies within the clinical research industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the business development team to identify new revenue opportunities and drive market expansion across Europe.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.
3. Develop and implement strategies to secure new business, enhance service offerings, and increase overall market share.
4. Oversee high-level negotiations and work with legal and operations teams to finalize contracts with clients.
5. Analyze market trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities and competitive advantages.
6. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, project management, and senior leadership, to ensure service excellence and client satisfaction.
7. Achieve annual revenue targets and ensure the sustainable growth of the company's market position.

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
2. Minimum of 10 years of business development experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the CRO or Medtech industry.
3. Demonstrated success in securing large-scale contracts and driving revenue growth in the CRO or clinical research space.
4. Deep understanding of clinical trials, regulatory requirements, and the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Fluency in both English and German.
