This role is part of our Personalized Creative team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients on eBay!

JOB PURPOSE

For our Berlin office we are looking for a Senior Digital Strategist (div/f/m), who will own the development and delivery of content-driven solutions to business, user, and stakeholder problems. Alongside clients, the DE Account Director, other DEPT strategists, and content creators, you will:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work with eBay marketing leads to develop a strategic roadmap against outlined business objectives.
  2. Map our customers’ holistic journey to ensure we are providing a consistent message throughout all communication and ensure that our onsite marketing is working as hard as possible.
  3. Ensure consistent messaging and brand expression.
  4. Work with clients to outline segmentation communication strategies.
  5. Map how onsite activity fits into the larger marketing mix to identify any gaps and possible enhancement opportunities.
  6. Develop the strategic positioning for big campaigns and briefs.
  7. Develop contact methodology and frequency recommendations when necessary.
  8. Monitor the execution of content strategies, making sure creative follows the agreed-upon path.
  9. Devise testing plans and evaluate performance of strategy; suggest pivots for optimization.
  10. Act as a key collaborator and bridge between strategic and creative stakeholders.
  11. Define and drive new initiatives to deliver against the eBay DE roadmap.
  12. Develop business critical initiatives such as a testing plan and reporting tactics to ensure learnings are obtained.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  1. Experience of planning strategies end-to-end.
  2. Experience with content strategy and understanding of contact frequency best practices.
  3. An understanding of how to turn business goals into actionable marketing & communication goals.
  4. Knowledge of how to use data and insight to create profiles and personas for use in digital channels.
  5. Understanding of A/B and multivariate testing methodologies.
  6. Understanding of and ability to articulate best practice across email design and build.
  7. Demonstrable experience in a similar role with proven success.
  8. Experience of creating and optimising user journeys, including automated journeys.
  9. Channel expertise in email, web, display and social; with an emphasis on innovation and possibility.
  10. Understanding of and ability to articulate best practice in digital marketing.
  11. Excellent presentation skills.
  12. Natural problem solver.
  13. Excellent written and communication skills as this is a client-facing role.
  14. Inquisitive nature to learn and understand how things work.
  15. C1 level of both German and English language is a must.
