PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

• Develop industry leading creative solutions for assigned concept or category.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop concepts and creative strategies that fulfill objectives of the category.
• Collaborate with Footwear and Color & Material Design teams to ensure holistic storytelling and execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure smooth product creation.
• Review and approve production stages of the creative process.
• Participate in creation of annual and long-term Creative Direction strategies.
• Present and communicate creative solutions with clarity, effectively selling in ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and change, and initiate own proposals/projects.
• Seek out Running apparel Innovation strategies that can deliver world-class results.
• Manage up to 2 direct reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• IT skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint: advanced /Outlook.
• Design apps: expert.
• Advanced illustration skills - ability to express ideas through high-level drawings - digital & analog.
• Art Direction of photoshoots, styling sessions, image editing capabilities.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor or Master degree in Apparel Design.
• 6-8 years’ experience in Sporting Goods/Fashion Industry or Design.
• People management experience of 1-3 years.
• Proven experience with the entire design process (project scope and time planning, design steps, production/execution of design solution).
• Passion for adidas and its mission.
• Passion and understanding of current and emerging sport, fashion & culture trends.
