Lead complex data science projects: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects, from problem definition to model/solution deployment and monitoring.
Develop advanced machine learning models: Build and deploy machine learning models, leveraging techniques like deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data science solutions.
Mentor and guide team members: Share your expertise and knowledge with junior data scientists and data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Contribute to data platform development: Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement robust and scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
Drive innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends in data science and machine learning and identify opportunities to apply these to solve real-world problems.
You inspire us with this
Strong technical skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn or spacy. Comfortable navigating modern cloud data science environments and pipelines on AWS, Google, or Azure.
Extensive track record of addressing large-scale real-world problems using machine learning throughout the entire product cycle, encompassing problem analysis, data processing, literature review, production deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Experience with NLP, ideally with a focus on latest developments around LLMs and related technologies like RAG, langchain, and vector databases.
Prior domain experience and an understanding of areas such as healthcare or publishing.
Clear, audience-sensitive style in verbal and written communication in German and English. B2/C1 level in German is required.
Experience building and maintaining at least one data/ML platform over a long period. Comfortable with traditional data warehouse architecture, concepts like data meshes, and BI-related data challenges.
