We're seeking a passionate and solution-oriented Senior Data Engineer for our Product Analytics Team. The mission of the Product Analytics team is to empower every product team at LeanIX to take data-inspired actions via a robust and scalable analytics infrastructure. It is the responsibility of the Senior Data Engineer in the team to provide the tools, best practices, and expert guidance for how to use the infrastructure.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you are not only an individual contributor but support your team with a strong customer-centric mindset and a drive to take on ownership over product capabilities or technical components. You will empower our product teams with the right approach, architecture, and tools to provide effective and efficient data in Databricks.

• Shape a cloud-based stream and batch processing solution to integrate data sources and APIs.

WHAT IS OUR STACK:

• ETL, Data Lakehousing & ML / AI workflows on Databricks.
• Microservices based on Node.js / Typescript, Kotlin, and Python.
• API technologies such as REST and GraphQL.
• Event-driven architecture.
• Modern CI / CD toolchains (e.g. Github Actions, Feature Toggling).
• Angular (Micro) Frontends (TypeScript, Tailwind, NgRx, Nx, Jest).
• Monitoring & Alerting e.g. Instana.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

• Have a passion for both engineering and data and an understanding of how they relate.
• You have experience in building high-performance data pipelines based on Databricks or similar tech stack.
• You approach data engineering with a DevOps mindset using Github Actions, Terraform, Cloud, and Databricks Bundles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with one of the aforementioned programming languages, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with up-to-date data engineering tools and industry best practices is highly desirable.
• Open communication style and fluent written and spoken English skills are required.
