(Senior) Buyer (m/f/d) for ABOUT YOU`s Online Outlet

Our Buying team is responsible to plan and purchase an on-trend and profitable selection of products and the continuous expansion of our brand portfolio. But discovering new products and finding the latest fashion and lifestyle trends is only one aspect, as our Buying team is additionally responsible for keeping track of relevant KPIs and processes. The team is embedded in ABOUT YOU's Outlet department which reports directly to the CEOs. It works hand in hand with Business Development, as well Marketing & Tech which are also part of ABOUT YOU's Outlet department. Additionally, there is a strong connection and communication line to all wholesale Buying & Merchandising teams.

As our (Senior) Buyer (m/f/d) for ABOUT YOU's Online Outlet, you will be responsible to contribute to the commercial growth by planning, purchasing and developing the brand and product portfolio for ABOUT YOU’s off-price segment across Europe. The ABOUT YOU Outlet went live in 2022 and as such you are responsible for actively driving the strategy of our off-price segment and spot opportunities to address customer and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for defining brands strategy including budget and assortment planning for ABOUT YOU's off-price segment
• Independent purchasing of external brands while adhering to the planned purchasing budget and considering all relevant KPIs
• Development, optimisation and support of the product range
• Independent execution of negotiations on terms and conditions with suppliers
• Monitoring competition and market developments
• Regular and proactive coordination with Merchandise Management, Procurement Management and Supply Chain Management

Requirements

• Degree in economics or business administration
• At least three years of professional experience in independent purchasing of external brands and relevant contacts in the fashion industry
• Preferably professional experience in working with companies in off-price or outlet segment
• Strong analytical skills, logical thinking, confident in working with numbers and data sets along with showing a high level of hands-on mentality
• Strong communication skills and assertiveness as well as several years of negotiating experience
• Structured approach and reliability even in phases of high stress
• Distinct sense of trends and understanding of fashion
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
