What's the role?
The Senior Business Solution (Operations) Manager / Error Manager is a dual-focused role that oversees both the identification and resolution of business errors and the strategic development of solutions to enhance operations. You will be responsible for reducing operational inefficiencies, ensuring the accuracy of business processes, and implementing solutions that prevent recurrence of errors. Additionally, you will lead business solution initiatives that align with organizational goals and improve performance across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Error Management:
- Lead the identification, investigation, and resolution of errors within the organization’s business processes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Implement and oversee error-tracking systems, ensuring accurate documentation and analysis of error trends and root causes.
- Establish preventative measures and control mechanisms to reduce error rates and enhance process accuracy.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to swiftly resolve critical errors and provide effective solutions to mitigate future occurrences.
Business Solution Development:
- Analyze business challenges and inefficiencies, and design solutions that improve processes, reduce risks, and drive operational excellence.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize business requirements, translating them into actionable, scalable solutions.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at improving workflows, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency.
- Ensure that business solutions align with long-term organizational objectives, and support growth and innovation.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, Operations, Finance and other relevant departments to address errors and ensure the seamless delivery of business solutions.
- Act as the liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure error resolutions and business solutions are well-integrated and fully understood.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate staff on error prevention, best practices, and new solutions.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and prevent errors across the organization.
- Drive a culture of operational excellence by encouraging the adoption of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Regularly review and update error management frameworks and business solution models to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to track error rates, business performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities.
- Create detailed reports for senior leadership on the status of error management initiatives, business solutions, and overall organizational performance.
- Monitor trends and patterns in data to proactively address potential issues before they escalate into larger problems.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of error resolution and business solution professionals, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Develop training programs to enhance team members' capabilities in error management, solution development, and process improvement.
- Ensure that the team is equipped with the tools, knowledge, and guidance necessary to succeed in their roles and deliver optimal results.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, IT, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, etc.) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in error management, business solutions, or related fields, with a proven track record of successfully resolving business errors and driving process improvements.
- 10+ years of experience in leadership or management, with strong skills in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, error prevention strategies, and process optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to problem-solving and solution development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile is preferred.
