A successful candidate will be responsible for cross-functional experts and mainly focused on supporting effective AI & data teams that deliver sustainable value with end-to-end responsibility. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with a deep understanding of data architecture, machine learning, and scalable systems, capable of blending advanced AI techniques with innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead our continuous efforts to develop, improve and establish AI & Data Engineering practices
• Guide and support our Data Engineering and MLOps communities of practice
• Empower vertical delivery teams within our cross-functional AI & data organization
• Provide servant leadership to enhance individual productivity and motivate team members (incl. empathy and guidance)
• Foster and develop our AI & data architecture and organization, incorporating concepts like Data Mesh
• Promote data literacy, data governance, and data ethics throughout the organization
• Support innovative projects that use cutting edge research to develop new AI powered products
• Explore and evaluate new tools and technologies in the AI & data space
• Ensure high quality of our AI & data powered products

Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing and deploying scalable data science and machine learning applications
• Several years of experience with Databricks for Data Engineering and ML application development
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of machine learning solutions
• Familiarity with LLMs is a plus
• Knowledge and understanding of data science and AI technologies
• Strong independence, team collaboration, enthusiasm, and networking skills
• Proficient in modern large scale Agile methodologies and group dynamics (e.g. Tuckman Model, etc.)
• Strong focus on customer value and experience, with a keen eye for leveraging technology to enhance service delivery.
• Open and clear style of communication and collaboration with the ability to communicate and interact internationally and with various stakeholders
• Professional experience prioritized, with formal qualifications in technical fields a plus; willingness to engage with AI concepts is essential.
