Cologne International School is a private, IB-accredited International School for currently about 500 students aged 5-18 (grades 1-12).
The school was founded in 2007 as a multicultural, interdisciplinary and inclusive school serving the international as well as the local community of Cologne.
In the Bilingual Primary School (grades 1-5), the learning objectives of the North Rhine Westphalian German state curriculum (NRW) are combined with the curriculum of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
Grades 6-12 follow the IB MYP and DP, with one legacy IGCSE class. Students study fully in English, with German offered as a core subject. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum and are currently focusing on ethically developing the role of AI, both in the classroom and in the wider school.
The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, with a particular focus on music, sport, and technology.
