The Max-Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy (MBI) conducts fundamental research in the field of nonlinear optics and ultrafast dynamics arising from the interaction of light with matter and pursues applications that emerge from this research. With the creation of a new Division of Precision Physics, new research projects in precision measurements, spectroscopy and nonlinear optics will be launched. We are exploring advanced photonics tools such as optical frequency combs, ultrashort pulse lasers and novel interferometry to push the boundaries of what has been possible in applications ranging from tests of fundamental physics to three-dimensional hyperspectral imaging for environmental sensing.
With its research, MBI fulfils a national mission and is an integral part of the international scientific community.
A Science Manager position is available in the Division of Precision Physics (Scientific Director: Nathalie Picqué) at the Max Born Institute in Berlin, Germany. We are looking for someone who will assist in implementing the director's scientific vision and division strategy.
