Job Description:

SAP Basis Consultant - German speaking
An exciting new opening for an SAP Basis Consultant has come up with a client of ours on a Freelance basis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement Disaster Recovery Management strategies to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
2. Optimize cloud cost management and FinOps, monitoring resource utilization and implementing cost control mechanisms.
3. Maintain platform documentation and change management processes for a well-documented IT landscape.
4. Oversee deployment management, including planning, coordinating, and executing software updates or changes.
5. Perform routine application maintenance, including patches, updates, and configuration changes.
6. Manage change processes, collaborating with SRE, Platform, Business Ops, and EnEx teams.
7. Monitor and optimize application performance, identifying bottlenecks and improving efficiency.
8. Ensure application security, managing access controls, security patches, and vulnerability assessments.
9. Develop and execute application lifecycle planning, including upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis and Production Support.
2. Expertise in S/4HANA upgrades, Solution Manager (SolMan), Data Volume Management (DVM), and Data Lifecycle Management (DLM).
3. Experience with Backup and Restore strategies.
4. Knowledge of SAP on RISE concepts and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning & management.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
