Vishay Electronic GmbH (ESTA division) is a business leader in the field of power capacitors and delivers applications to the industrial market, including medical, transportation and energy. Through its applications for solar farms, or wind powers it participates actively in the transition towards a more sustainable energy.

We are currently looking for an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager - Power Electronic Capacitors (PEC) (m/f/d).

Location: This position is in Landshut. Hybrid work (3 days on site) is feasible. However, due to the Team Management responsibility, an increased on-site presence may be required.

Vishay Electronic GmbH in Landshut - a division of the Vishay Group since 1992 - is a sales and development site for power capacitors with around 90 employees.

Main Responsibilities

In this role reporting to the Director Sales and Marketing, you are accountable for sales results generated by the Power Electronic Capacitors Product line, and your responsibilities include:

  • Manage the team of 7 Product Engineers / Managers, by setting priorities and ensuring resource allocation.
  • Responsible for Power Electronic Capacitors department.
  • Drive contract negotiations with major customers, attend project meetings and ensure contract conclusion.
  • Take care of complete sales process (from order intake, quotation phase to after sales service) - 5 customer service colleagues.
  • Determination of the PEC product and pricing strategy.
  • Annual Budget planning.
  • Acquisition of new customers, customer support and technical advice.
  • Creation of customer-specific offers with price and margin calculation.
  • Project management.

Your Profile

  • Technical Degree in electrical engineering, electronics, physics, mechatronics, industrial engineering or similar. Ideally a further qualification in Business Management or a commercial understanding is rounding up your profile.
  • A proven record in successfully managing a team for several years is required.
  • Relevant professional experience in a technically related field, with exposure to capital investment projects. Knowledge of power capacitors a definite advantage.
  • Previous experience with contract negotiations and yearly price review is expected in this role.
  • Leadership skills, including ability to communicate the strategy and monitor its implementation, set clear priorities, and manage client expectations.
  • Initiative taking, Hands-on approach, and good resistance to stress are attributes which you can relate to.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills are a MUST.
  • Willingness to travel (about 15-20 %) – mainly in Europa, with expected yearly trip to manufacturing sites in India and quarterly to the Czech Republic.
