Sales Manager DACH (Automotive/Motorcycle)

We are working on behalf of a globally recognised automotive brand to recruit a Sales and Network Manager focused on the continued growth of their position in the DACH region.

Ideally based in the SW of Germany, the Sales Manager will report to the Country Manager - DACH region and play a pivotal role within the company targeting growth. You will be responsible for establishing and delivering the business strategy and managing the business operations of the region. You will create and manage channel partner networks (dealers), drive retail sales, demand generation of leads, sales & service network coverage and increase customer satisfaction through dealership excellence. This role will work closely with dealerships to further develop the market and support the country & networks to achieve targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Development and execution of strategic plans to improve the reach, visibility and profitability of our client in the region.
  2. Building and integrating the brand supporting variation of demand and interest in the region.
  3. Driving the achievement of overall revenues, volumes and profitability targets defined for the region while focusing on growth across product lines and categories.
  4. Building and managing the dealership network with a focus on quality of partners and delivering customer experience; expanding the availability and visibility of the full range of products to increase brand penetration and reach.
  5. Enhancing the customer experience across dealerships by following the structure, process and infrastructure standards defined by our client.
  6. Continuously leading and engaging with the business development and aftersales teams to ensure each dealer is delivering the correct level of customer experience.
  7. Working with field resources to address the needs of the dealers.
  8. Assisting the dealers in identifying potential areas for growth and improvement.

To support this role, you will ideally have/be:

  1. 15-20 years of experience in managing sales functions in the automotive industry with experience in countrywide/DACH dealer sales & service.
  2. A complete understanding of dealership operations in the areas of Sales, Service, Parts & Accessories, Financial Services, and general merchandise.
  3. Comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment.
  4. Established credibility by delivering results through consulting and counseling business owners.
  5. Experience in developing new market areas through the expansion of new dealers and management of existing dealers.
  6. A brilliant track record of leading, driving, and developing teams while maximizing available resources and maintaining high morale.
  7. Good networking and PR skills and personal stature to represent our client in your region.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
