As the RFID Sales Manager for the IDT Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, part of HID Global, you will be responsible for driving the revenue and market growth in the DACH region and East of Europe. This role will focus on growing RFID passive transponder sales within all vertical markets, with special attention on the consumable business and Medical industry. We are looking for a Sales Manager with expertise and knowledge or at least a strong interest in these verticals. HID provides the Sales Manager with the opportunity to be supported and trained by our business development team to become the next generation of experts in the RFID market. In this role, you will work closely with the ISC Sales Leadership and the Sales Support Teams.

As our Sales Manager DACH, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Acquiring new customers and developing an existing customer base in the equipment consumable market and other industrial verticals.
  • Recognizing and understanding customer requirements during the pre-sales process and educating customers on HID product offerings that solve their business challenges.
  • Driving the entire sales process, from prospecting and initial contact, to consulting on product offerings that meet the customer’s needs, to commitment of design-in solutions. Collaborating with product management and engineering specialists as required.
  • Working with HID sales and marketing management to plan and implement marketing and sales campaigns for your defined customer base to drive brand recognition and grow the business.
  • Attending and participating in tradeshows, exhibitions, and partner events.
  • Maintaining key contacts within existing customers and driving organic growth within these accounts.
  • Completing forecasts and revenue reporting by regularly scheduled deadlines.
  • Building a project pipeline to secure the ISC long-term business growth.
  • Acting as an industry expert in future market trends, and coordinating with product management on potential new products to meet these trends.

Your Experience and Background include:

  • Ideally, you have technical training or previous education, but in any case, you have a high affinity for technical products.
  • An understanding of RFID technologies with a focus on RFID tags and labels would be helpful but not necessary.
  • You have several years of sales experience and are confident speaking to all levels of customers (Engineering, Procurement, and C-Suite).
  • Passionate about sales, product knowledge, and helping your customers solve business challenges.
  • Cold calling and remote selling are no strangers to you, and you deal confidently with resistance.
  • Strong experience in hunting, cold-calling, and closing new customers, including social media outreach.
  • Communicate in German and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Effective and timely follow-up to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
  • Develop presentations and write content as an industry subject matter expert.
  • Present information to boards of directors, technical managers, and/or public groups.
  • Interact in a professional manner with the Sales team, Business Development Team, Product Marketing, and other departments within HID.
  • Read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex business and financial data, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
  • Flexible and highly motivated, pro-active and intrinsically motivated.
  • Focused on meeting and exceeding customer needs and satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates composure and professionalism when handling challenging customers.
  • Travel is required to meet with customers and attend industry meetings as necessary.
