Senior Data Engineer (F / M)

With 50 years of experience, Baker Tilly Luxembourg is one of the country's largest consulting companies, offering a wide range of services to national and international clients. We are seeking an accountant with 3 to 5 years of work experience for our Luxembourg office.

Ideally located opposite the Howald interchange, combining the railway station, the junction of the A3, A1, and A6 highways, strategic bus routes to the city center and airport, a shared bike station, and soon the Tram, Baker Tilly Luxembourg's offices are at the heart of all connections.

Your Mission

You will join the Tax department and contribute to the development of a team dedicated to VAT compliance.

In case of student applicant in his / her last year of studies, we can offer an internship in 1 semester 2025, followed by a permanent contract after completion of the degree.

• Preparation of periodic and annual Luxembourg VAT returns
• Preparation of more complex VAT returns (depending on your level of experience)
• Monitoring of the VAT returns and filing deadlines
• Liaising with clients and Luxembourg VAT authorities when necessary (VAT audits, legal questions, etc.)
• Assisting accountants / teams with their daily VAT-related questions
• Preparation of VAT advisory memos
• Assisting in the preparation and delivery of VAT training sessions for clients and employees
• Keeping up with legal developments in VAT

All your tasks will be carried out under the supervision and / or control of our VAT Manager and Tax Partner.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or university degree in Economics, Law, or Finance
• Between 3 and 5 years of experience in VAT compliance acquired within an audit firm or accounting firm
• Analytical skills and attention to details
• Proficiency in French and English; knowledge of German is an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills
