About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Marketing Manager (m/f/d) to develop and implement a structured framework for Changan’s retail marketing across Europe. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and PR at Changan Europe, this role will focus on supporting retail networks and importers by equipping them with the right tools, strategies, and guidance to ensure a seamless and effective customer journey. The Retail Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing retail-level marketing campaigns, managing budget allocation, ensuring brand consistency across dealer websites, and tracking the execution of marketing plans at the local level.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a retail marketing framework to support retail networks and importers across multiple European markets.
  • Ensure dealer websites are established and brand-consistent, providing guidelines and oversight to maintain a unified digital presence.
  • Provide marketing tools and resources to ensure dealerships and importers have the necessary assets to drive local engagement and sales.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement retail marketing tools and platforms to enhance dealership and importer marketing efforts.
  • Support the allocation and management of retail marketing budgets, ensuring funds are used effectively to maximize impact.
  • Lead and oversee retail-level marketing campaigns, ensuring all assets are available for dealerships before approving and signing off on their marketing plans.
  • Track and evaluate dealership and importer marketing plans and activations, ensuring campaigns are executed correctly and in line with Changan’s brand strategy.
  • Oversee the actual activation of retail marketing initiatives, ensuring successful execution across markets.
  • Gather and analyse KPI reports across the retail network, identifying areas for improvement and providing strategic recommendations.
  • Work closely with local dealer networks and importers to guide and support their marketing initiatives while ensuring alignment with Changan’s overall brand positioning.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales and product, to ensure a seamless customer experience from digital to dealership.
  • Act as the key point of contact for dealership and importer marketing teams, providing strategic advice and hands-on support where needed.
  • Stay informed on retail marketing trends, customer behavior insights, and emerging tools to enhance Changan’s retail presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or similar qualification
  • Several years of experience in retail marketing within the automotive sector or on automotive retail side.
  • Strong understanding of dealership and importer marketing operations and customer engagement at the retail level.
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing marketing tools for dealer and importer networks.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to performance tracking.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluency in German and English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to work closely with dealership and importer partners.
