YOUR MISSION
Contribution to multidisciplinary teams with own scientific expertise to achieve corporate and customer goals of challenging drug discovery projects
Independent planning and execution of research projects within the field of membrane proteins (GPCRs)
Development, implementation and optimization of protein production workflows for membrane proteins (with focus on GPCRs)
Evaluation of new technology and/or equipment to constantly improve the membrane protein platform
Preparation of all relevant project documentation (i.e. project plans, SOPs, scientific presentations, technical reports)
Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers, and business partners
YOUR PROFILE
PhD in biochemistry or related field with an excellent proven track record
Strong acquaintance with regard to structure-based construct design, expression and purification of GPCRs
Profound knowledge in structural biology (Xray and/or cryoEM) is a plus
Hands-on experience in expression and purification of GPCRs and/or membrane proteins in insect and/or mammalian cells for structural and biophysical applications
Experience in running biophysical assays for ligand binding confirmation of GPCRs is an asset
Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to details
Independent, service-oriented way of working, with an outstanding team spirit and excellent organization and communication skills
